PRIDE RULES is a remarkable look at lion prides, their politics, their incessant drive to survive, and the daily struggles they face to protect their territory. On the banks of the Chobe River, a large lion pride dominates the highly prized floodplain territory. Led by two charismatic brothers and a plucky lioness, the pride consists of 18 members. And then there’s Einstein; the wayward son who should have left home long ago. As the dry season takes hold of their territory, the pride capitalizes on weakened elephants, fights off rival lions and sees new cubs into the fold, sparking Einstein’s inevitable eviction.
